Hearts of Stone

Happy Valentines Everybody! Royce and I have a tradition of finding a heart shaped rock if we are apart and bringing it home to let the other one know we missed them. So I put a few of our rocks on here to share. The big one is one of my favorites, it is one Royce brought home a couple of summers ago, that he found while he was at work, the inscription is his, and trust me this is a BIG rock. Also in the picture is our amaryllis that are blooming, they are beautiful, but we never seem to be able to get them to bloom at Christmas time, so they are my valentine flowers. So here is a challenge to all of you, to tell me what unique way you have to tell your sweetheart you love him/her. I love all of you and hope you have a terrific Valentines Day

I love that you do all of these little things. Love the heart shaped rocks! Okay so here is what i do for Erik. It isnt much but sometimes it is the small stuff that means the most. When Erik is too tired to sleep because he is stressed and exhausted I will tickle his hand. He loves it when I tickle his hand, arm, or foot. I know he is sleeping because he snores very loud. It usually works really fast. Sometimes he will ask why I am doing it and I will say because I love you. (I am not perfect, I say no a lot when he asks so it means more to him if I just do it without him asking)

Oh Deanne, I love your heart rock tradition! That is one of the most simple and yet sentimental things I have ever heard of - love it!

When Jeff & I were dating we formulated our own lucky number. It is 3 digits and we have never revealed it to anyone. Anytime we happen to see that number on anything from bills to mile posts, we let the other know. It is a fun way to be reminded of how grateful we are for each other & our marriage at the most random times and places.
Funny thing about this number is that it is posted on a mile post near a turn off to our house and then again on a utility box near our home as well.

Your amaryllis is beautiful. I have never been successful with those particular flowers. Congratulations :o)

I love that you and dad do this! I always thought it was so cool! Hopefully Matt and I could have something like that. For some reason Matt and I's thing we do is we sqeeze eachothers hands twice. I don't know why. We have just done that since we were dating!
