Adalyn Grace

I guess one of the things I didn't realize until today is that along with the sunshine and blue skies we still need the rain to make everything beautiful. The last couple of days we have shed many tears, this has been a tough time for our family. Our beautiful little Adalyn Grace was born into the world May 29 at 9:30 A.M. she weighed 4.1 LBS. and was 17 inches long. All of our hopes of a long earth life association with this beautiful angel were taken away from us, but we were given the beautiful gift of eternal assurance that she will be part of our family forever. I was so proud of Elise, she handled this trial with true grace and conviction, she was so strong and brave. I love this new daughter that Josh has brought into our family. Josh bravely stood by her side and welcomed their new little eternal angel into their family, As Royce and I watched them embrace each other and their new little daughter, and then give her back to Heavenly Father we were so impressed with their faith and testimony. They are our heroes. We will miss you Adalyn, I was so thankful for the time I had with you, the chance I had to help the nurses dress you, the chance to be all alone with you and sing to you, I love you sweetie pie, I will see you again. I also want to thank my Heavenly Father for the chance we were given to be grandparents to this beautiful perfect angel, I know he will take good care of her until we can be with her again. There is a beautiful quote that my friend Leslie shared with me, it is " The best way to have Heaven in your home, is to have someone you love in Heaven." We love you Adalyn Grace.

Oh Deanne, I love you all so much. My heart aches for Josh and Elise, but knowing what we know and that she is with our Heavenly Father is comforting. She is Beautiful, please give both Josh and Elise and hug for me. They are in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh sweet Deanne, I'm so sorry for your family's loss. Derek told me the other day, and it broke my heart. I wanted to send you a note, but realized I don't have your email address. We would also like to send our love and condolences to Josh and Elise if you could give me their address. My email is tmayhue@hotmail.com

We love you and your family so much, and are so sadened by your heartache. What a beautiful sweet angel she is, and what a beautiful post and tribute to her, as well as Josh and Elise. It broke my heart to read it, and inspired me at the same time.

All our love! Derek, Tara, and Girls.

I was so upset when I heard the news, I can't even imagine what that must be like. Thank you for what you said though. You are such a wonderful strong family and we admire all of you for that. You are in our prayers. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you and your family. We love you.

I cried and then I prayed. I know that our Father sends His best angels and His sweetest assurance during these big trials. I love you. I love Josh and Elise and I am anxious to meet Miss Adalyn Grace someday. What incredible parents to have been blessed with this angel daughter. Oh...love you all. Please hug them for me.

My dear sweet Deanne & Royce,
What a beautiful tribute to your little grandaughter! We admire your strength and fortitude and your loving support for Josh and Elise! Our thoughts and prayers have been with you and Royce and Josh and especially Elise as we saw little gravestones and looked at lists of little ones who passed into the eternities as their families had to carry on to get to the next settlement for the saints and finally those little ones that did not survive the trek west. At the graveyard at Winter quarters, I couldn't help but think of Josh and his beautiful Elise and you and Royce and your entire family as we sang the words to Come, come ye Saints.
Come come ye saints to toil nor labor fear but with joy wend your way. Though hard to you this journey may appear. Grace shall be as your day....
And should we die before our journey’s through,
Happy day! All is well!
We then are free from toil and sorrow, too;
With the just we shall dwell!

I went to a fireside once given by the woman who sketches the pictures of Christ holding the baby or a little boy or girl.... I can't remember her name. But as her young daughter was dying one of the 12 Apostles, knowing their family stopped by to visit and as they told him about how this daughter had always been such a joy in their family and seemed to help strengthen them with her joyful attitude always no matter the circumstances. And this Apostle told them that as this daughter had helped their family in this life that when she was on the other side of the veil that she would be able to help their family in ways that she was unable to do now. I feel that little Adalyn Grace will be close to your family, especially with Josh and Elise and she will be able to help your family in ways you can not realize now.
I love you with all my heart and know that our thoughts and prayers have been with you all as we have traveled through the sites of the Early Saints and my heart aches along with you during this spiritual, but difficult time.
There are no words to describe what I wish to convey.
I just send you all my love and look forward to seeing you on Tuesday!
love you much and more,
Jan

I love you all so much! Each of you has your own personal grief to go through, but it will be easier because you can go through it together. How hard and awesome that this sweet beautiful little spirit only had to gain a body and then return perfect to live and accomplish her mission with our Father in Heaven. I wish I was there to hold you in my arms, words seem so very inadequate. I love you so much! Sam wise

What a special tribute, Deanne. This made me cry... It's such a hard thing to lose someone, especially a child. It helps to have such a close family to help cope. The prayers of the Hancock family are with you :-)
