Royce and I decided to do a cheap date nite on Friday and walked down through the fields and down to the creek and started fishing. We were pretty sure we would have fun, but we didn't think we would catch any fish and first throw in Royce got a bite, we had a great time, we caught about 6 fish within a half hour, we threw the littler ones back and kept a couple of good size ones for supper. It has been a long time since we had gone fishing together out at the creek. Brutus even got brave and tried to retrieve a bone he found in the creek, he doesn't like the water and is usually a big baby, but he just had to have that bone. Afterward we came back up to the house and grilled the fish and I made some pasta and seasoned it with herbs from Crystals herb garden and it was absolutely delicious! What a fun date! I think we are going to go again soon! We are adjusting to the empty nest syndrome, although I miss all of my kids, I think it would be perfect if we could all live within walking distance of each other and see each other more often. But maybe having them all spread out helps me to realize how much I love each and every one of them. Anyhow, open invitation, fishing at our place, come on up and have a cookout, and enjoy this beautiful summer with us!

I want to come! I am waiting for the right moment to ask Erik to send me out there for a few days in Aug. If I come I will bring Kayla and leave Alex. Do you want to watch a baby while I am there? I will need babysitters! LOL
Dax and I want to come! He bought a fishing license and has used it once! We think Ryan would enjoy it too so we might just have to take you up on that offer!
I can't believe that 4 people have taken you up on the offer before I could get to you!!! Maybe you'll have to have a big old party and we'll all come and clean up on that stream!!!!
Elder Kasper said it was torcher looking at all that fishing going on without him!!!!

You guys are doing the empty nest thing right! Fun date...wish my man liked to fish since we're around so many bodies of water here. Maybe I can convince him it's a good date.
